In “Com’è bello far l’amore da Trieste in giù”, a duo exhibition with Beatrice Favaretto curated by Camilla Paolino and Giada Olivotto at Lateral Roma, Léa Katharina Meier presents a series of drawings, the premise of her research on “La Grande-Biblioteca-Bagnata-Umida-Lubrificata”.
This work is part of a visual and performative research project focusing on the notions of book, library and archive. Through laughter, dyke performativity, the re-enactment of traumatic experiences and the creation of a fantastical, childlike visual universe, the project seeks to understand shame as a source of knowledge and to question the constitution of the dominant archive.
